Wooden Longboards Ride Comeback Wave at WaveridersGallery.net
SAN DIEGO, June 23, 2007 – The availability
of finely finished, reasonably priced wooden surfboards has many
enthusiasts eager to ride (or wall-hang) these classic sticks, but

Surftech creates the reproductions from exacting specs from shapers
Hobie Alter, Robert August, Bear, Gordon & Smith, Bill Hamilton,
Rich Harbour, Hap Jacobs, Bob McTavish, Mickey Munoz, Johnny Rice,
Dale Velzy and Renny Yater.
All boards are shaped from a proprietary core of expanded polystyrene
(EPS), a water-resistant foam stronger and lighter than standard
polyurethane foam. Wood veneers include oak and ash.
Board lengths range from about 8 feet to 10 feet, with prices ranging
from about $900 to $1,100. Shipping is available throughout the
United States and internationally.
